Past Exhibits

2015 was the Wood Female sheep year which is the completion of 60 years of one Rabjung for His Majesty, The Fourth Druk Gyalpo. It is considered as the diamond jubilee of the birth of His Majesty and the most auspicious and special year for the Bhutanese people.

Throughout Bhutan, people celebrated the year at the national level in various ways. Bhutan Post joined the nation by establishing the Bhutan Postal Museum to mark the 60th birth anniversary of His Majesty on 7th November 2015.  The main objective is to pay tribute to His Majesty. The first gallery or the repositionable gallery displays exhibits especially stamps that were issued to celebrate important events and achievement of His Majesty. The highlight of the exhibit was a portrait of His Majesty made entirely of postage stamps.
